Forum Users Group Meeting

the Users Group Meeting:
The First Annual VoiceXML Forum Users Group
Meeting offered the chance for individuals and
companies with interest in VoiceXML technology
to gather with VoiceXML industry leaders to share
issues, knowledge, and information about one of
the fastest growing technologies in the telephony
business. This special event was held the day
after the closing session of AVIOS 2001 at the
same venue in San Jose, Calif. The audience included
application developers; platform and service vendors;
technology consultants and analysts; enterprise
IT and call center managers; and executives. The
Users Group Meeting was the first person-to-person
education and networking opportunity sponsored
by the VoiceXML Forum since it issued the VoiceXML
1.0 specification in March 2000. It also served
as the official kickoff for several local area
VoiceXML Forum users groups sprouting up around
the globe.
