VoiceXML Forum Launches 2005 Webinar Series


SAN FRANCISCO, February 22, 2005 � Today, at the SpeechTEK West 2005 Conference and Exposition, the VoiceXML Forum announced its second annual series of Virtual Brown Bag Webinars.� Each educational Webinar covers a topic of interest to developers, program managers and others working with VoiceXML.� Beginning in April, Webinars will be held on the first Tuesday of every month at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

The first Webinar in the 2005 series will be an encore presentation of �An Introduction to VoiceXML, Part 1� on April 5, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. EST.� Other topics to be addressed in this year�s Webinar series include test preparation for the VoiceXML Forum�s Developer Certification Program; the VoiceXML Forum�s Platform Certification Program; and designing, developing and testing voice applications.� Tutorials on advanced technical topics such as semantic interpretation, Call Control XML (CCXML) and XHTML+Voice (X+V) will also be offered throughout the year.

�This series makes concise and thoughtful instruction by respected experts available to a wide audience, which is a principal goal of the VoiceXML Forum and especially the Education Committee� said Jonathan Engelsma, Chair of the VoiceXML Forum Education Committee.� �The 2004 Webinar series was well attended and highly regarded, and this year, as VoiceXML�s popularity continues to increase, we�re hoping to take it to the next level.�
