Speech Recognition Software Engineer
LOCATION: New York/New Jersey (relocation assistance available)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Career opportunity for a full-time Speech Recognition Engineer to join a team of skilled consultants. As a member of the Speech Recognition team, will be involved in the implementation of applications for enterprise firms seeking to improve their customer self-service automation in the contact center market.
Looking for a candidate to design and develop grammars using GrXML, analyze application performance; deploy and troubleshoot speech applications; tune grammars, dictionaries and ASR parameters; and develop transcription, performance analysis and tuning tools.
Requires breadth of experience across multiple commercial speech engines and good depth in at least one full project life cycle (or grammar development and tuning across multiple projects).
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
� BS in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Electrical Engineering
� Experience in Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Linguistics and Statistics
� Knowledge in Java (intermediate/advanced), VXML, Unix, Script Programming (Perl), SQL
� Familiarity with multiple IVR and ASR platforms and APIs (OSR, Nuance, IBM, Microsoft and VXML)
� Understanding of algorithms and mechanisms of speech recognition and audio processing
� Experience in development of voice application development tools
� Understanding of the transcription process
� Knowledgeable of basic audio engineering and audio tools
� Develop in JSP/VoiceXML
