I want to piece together a custom voicexml gateway using open source tools. It seems that the best way to do this is to use OpenVXI and interface Sphinx, Festival,Xerxes,Spider Monkey, etc. However, after building OpenVXI successfully on my Linux box, I am finding remarkably little solid support for using it, especially in terms of interfacing ASR, TTS, and the telephony base. I was wondering if anyone had experience with OpenVXI and could point me in the right direction, or perhaps offer a completely different solution? Are there any proprietary hosts that make interfacing your own parsers, ASR, TTS, etc. particularly painless? Thanks a lot.
