Hello,

I'm working on my college project. Everything works just fine, but my teacher wants me to provide users of the application i'm writing the ability to fill the form with random names. I mean they can choose their own, not the ones i put in my grammar file.

He told me that there is a way to fill the field in the form saying the name letter by letter, but i've no idea on how to do this. I've read the W3C specs, and found no clue.

Maybe someone here could help me [Smile]

There is a project listed on the VoiceXML Education Exchange web page (http://www.voicexml.org/resources/vxml_university/education_exchange.html) that might be of interest.

It provides a way of converting DTMF input into character strings. This might provide a way to allow callers to spell out the names they want to enter using their telephone keypad.

Hope this helps.
