Hi,

Are there any preffered books for the certification?
Who are eligible to take the test?

Anyone may take the test, but I advise candidates to follow the advice under "Preparing for the VoiceXML Developer Certification Test" at http://www.voicexmlforum.org/certification/developer.html
There are several books on VoiceXML, including those listed on my web site http://www.larson-tech.com/bookres.htm (scroll to the bottom of the page). My favorite book for learning the syntax of VoiceXML is the book by Sharma and Kunins. I'm sure that readers will send in their favoriate reference books. I encourage candiates to use the practice test in my home study guide http://www.vxmlguide.com/

Thanks for your reply.

Does the information about CCXML, SSML 1.0 given in the www.w3.org is sufficient to take the certification?

Yes, The W3C recommendations are the the "fountains" of knowledge for the certifiation tests. While books and guides may provide more descriptions, examples, exercises, and practice tests, the ultimate repository of information about the langauges are the W3C specifications.

Dear Larson,

I went through your website. I have seen the 4 day workshop for the developer certification.

Can you give me some more details of this workshop, like where and when?
