The session will provide
an overview of the VoiceXML Application
Developer Certification program, addressing
who should take the exam and the benefits
of becoming a certified developer; the
test development process; topics and technologies
covered in the test; and how to register
to take the formal exam.
A hard-copy mock exam
will be administered to attendees, who
will have one hour to answer a sample
of actual test questions. During the second
hour, the answer to each question will
be reviewed, and general questions from
the audience will be answered.

free hands-on VoiceXML training. The class
is limited to 20 participants, on a first
come, first served basis for registered
AVIOS attendees. To reserve your seat

1:
This morning session will begin with
an introduction to VoiceXML -- the scope
of VoiceXML as well as an introduction to
scripting languages such as XML. It will
then cover basic VoiceXML programming such
as application structure, and some of the
most commonly used tags. There will be a
hands-on lab that allows students, working
in pairs, to develop a simple VoiceXML application.

Part 2:
This afternoon session is a continuation
of the morning session --students must have
attended the morning session. This session
covers more of the commonly used tags in
VoiceXML, such as error and event handling,
as well as an introduction to some of the
more advanced features such as submitting
a variable to a JSP that utilizes a JavaBean
to make a back-end logic decision. |

Part 1 (encore):
This evening session is a repeat of the
morning session. It begins with an introduction
to VoiceXML -- the scope of VoiceXML as
well as an introduction to scripting languages
