VoiceXML
John
Hicks is a co-founder of SpeechBrowser.com, makers
of FastStartVoiceXML, the Talking Catalog, and
PhoneInExpenses.com. John was a regional Database
Specialist for IBM, and has a Masters degree in
Writing from Columbia University in New York City.
In
September SpeechBrowser launches its PhoneInExpenses.com
service, which will allow speed-dial from a hotel
shuttle, car rental bus, cab, or airport monorail.
SpeechBrowser.com's Rita captures everything in
seconds and sends the user a neatly typed expense
report, or imports data into the user's own money
program or company spreadsheet. SpeechBrowser.com
even details the cost of calls to the company.
John is interested in bringing VoiceXML to offices
of any size and budget: agencies, foundations,
non-profits, small businesses. He is also interested
in using VoiceXML to reach the blind, vision-impaired
and disabled communities.
