I'm an accessibility consultant currently prototyping alternative interfaces for an online ebook client. I'd like to present them with and user test a multimodal interface. In a nutshell, users would log into the client's subscription-based web site and a voice prompt would allow them to interact either via voice, keyboard or mouse. Several problems: need a host, need software, need to learn X+V, need to resolve input issues (how will users communicate with X+V environment via a Web browser and NO OTHER SOFTWARE, sip client?). Voxpilot looks like an excellent solution, but need to find a big box to host their beefy media server. Any ideas on prototyping a Web (NOT telephony) X+V interface from scratch?
