I'm a web developer but new at VXML. How would I go about programmatically delivering images from a web server to compatible cell phones? Is this part of the VXML standard or...?

VoiceXML offers no direct support this. However, there is nothing that precludes a web app that is generating the VoiceXML markup to interface with MMS facilities provided by carriers to deliver photos to mobile phones as a direct consequence of spoken voice input... "send bob the picture I just took".

On a somewhat related note, the Motorola i870 handset integrates a "push to view" functionality into the phone's PTT interface that lets users push photos they have taken with the phone to other peers. Pretty cool!
